2 MW โ Kusum Agri Solar Plant, Barmer
This 2 MW Kusum Yojna (PM-KUSUM Component-A) solar power plant was developed on 10 acres of otherwise unproductive dry land in Barmer district. The project was developed for a farmer cooperative under Rajasthan's RREC empanelment process, with a 25-year PPA signed with the local DISCOM at RERC-approved tariff of โน3.14/unit.
FGPS Solar managed the entire project lifecycle โ RREC empanelment application, PPA negotiation, grid interconnection design at 11 kV, civil works for module mounting, and final commissioning with DISCOM meter sealing. The plant uses fixed-tilt mounting at 20ยฐ (optimal for Barmer's latitude of 25.7ยฐN) with inter-row spacing designed to allow agri-compatible activities beneath the panels.
The plant now supplies clean energy to 35 agricultural feeder connections in surrounding villages, reducing DISCOM losses on these feeders and providing day-time power to farmers. Performance is monitored via a SCADA panel at the RREC sub-station.
