150 kW β Alwar Pharmaceutical Plant
A WHO-GMP certified pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Alwar's RIICO industrial area required a solar installation that met strict cleanroom environment standards β no cable trays inside the production zone, no vibration from installation equipment, and zero downtime on critical HVAC and clean-room pressurisation systems.
FGPS Solar designed a 150 kW system on the utility and warehouse building rooftops, keeping solar entirely outside the GMP-controlled production block. All DC cables were run in earthed metallic conduits; AC wiring was isolated from process control circuits. A dedicated solar sub-panel with data logging was installed in the utility room for GMP documentation compliance.
The system was commissioned during a planned plant maintenance shutdown to avoid any operational disruption. Regulatory documentation for the installation was prepared to support the plant's next WHO-GMP recertification audit. Power conditioning ensures that PV feed-in does not cause voltage fluctuations that could affect sensitive analytical equipment.
Installation Highlights
Measured Outcomes
- 2,25,000 units/yr generated, meeting 35% of non-critical facility power needs.
- βΉ18L annual savings at Alwar HVVNL industrial tariff; payback in 3.6 years.
- Installation passed WHO-GMP recertification audit with no solar-related non-conformances raised.
- 162T COβ avoided per year; plant Scope 2 emissions disclosure improved for export market compliance.
