200 kW β Bhilwara Textile Industries
Bhilwara Textile Industries, one of Rajasthan's leading synthetic fabric manufacturers, had an annual AVVNL industrial electricity bill exceeding βΉ40L at βΉ9.50/unit for HT-2 tariff. The manufacturing unit operates three shifts across 12 months, making on-site solar generation directly and immediately valuable.
FGPS Solar designed a 200 kW system on the corrugated GI sheet shed roofs using L-foot hook mounting β no roof penetrations, no structural modifications, and no disruption to production. 500 Γ 400W mono PERC panels were installed in 20 strings, feeding two 100 kW three-phase string inverters. Load flow analysis confirmed the system would supply 60β70% of daytime consumption directly.
The project was structured as a CAPEX investment to maximise Section 32 accelerated depreciation benefit (40% in Year 1), reducing the effective cost of the project significantly for the company. FGPS Solar coordinated the AVVNL net-metering application and commissioned the system within 30 working days.
Installation Highlights
Measured Outcomes
- 3,00,000 units/yr generated, directly offsetting βΉ28.5L of HT tariff electricity consumption.
- Net saving of βΉ27L/yr after accounting for wheeling and other charges; payback in 2.7 years.
- 40% accelerated depreciation in Year 1 reduced effective project cost by βΉ14L.
- 216T COβ avoided annually; company now reports Scope 2 emission reduction in annual ESG disclosure.
